KMI Inc. is noted for its ability to manufacture complicated Mill-Turn parts while maintaining competitive pricing, high quality, and on-time delivery.
KMI was founded in 1973 as Wolfe Machine Inc. in Mulvane, KS, ten miles south of Wichita. Building one is a 13,700 square foot facility with room to double square footage. Building two is a 9000 square foot facility with room to triple the square footage.
KMI began as a conventional machine shop. In 1979 the company made the transition into CNC turning, CNC milling, and small assemblies. KMI has access to local testing laboratories, heat treating, and processing facilities, using only those approved by customers.
